Cutters for X91, X93 och X97

The standard serrated cutter can be used for most jobs, but the machine can be fitted with coarse serrated or fine serrated cutters as required. Coarser teeth are used for larger bevel widths in heavy material and fine teeth are intended for use in lighter work. Cutters are made from hardened alloy tool steel. Cutters with three different serrations can be supplied with the machine.

A. Coarse serration: This cutter is recommended when performing maximum dimensions of bevels on large and heavy work pieces.

B. Medium serration: Suitable for large bevels on small work pieces.

C. Fine serration: Advantageous for all materials when the width of the bevel is below 15 mm (0.590″ or 19/32″) and when the weight of the work piece is below 50 kg (110 lbs).

Standard cutters recommended for materials with a tensile strength below 550 N/mm² (80,000 PSI):

161.505.85 Cutter fine serrated
161.504.85 Cutter medium serrated
161.503.85 Cutter coarse serrated
198.724.01 Cutter medium serrated

High tensile “chipper” cutters are recommended for materials with a tensile strength of 550-690 N/mm² (80,000-100,000 PSI):

163.704.01 Cutter fine serrated chipper
163.703.01 Cutter medium serrated chipper
163.705.01 Cutter coarse serrated chipper
198.026.01 Cutter medium serrated, for material like stainless steel. Max 1/2″ thickness and maximum bevel width 1/2″

Cutters for X8 and X10

A Normal serrated: This cutter is recommended for all kinds of plate metal above 6 mm (0.240″ or 1/4″) thick but not for pressure vessel steels.

Type B Fine serrated: This cutter is recommended for all kinds of plate metal between 4 mm (0.160″ or 5/32″) and 10 mm (0.390″ or 3/8″).

Type C Extra fine serrated: This cutter is recommended for all kinds of plate metal between 3 mm (0.120″) and 6 mm (0.250″) thick.
